Norman – James Kellaris

James Kellaris (mandolin II, arranger) was stricken with mando-mania at age 5, when he first picked up his grandfather’s mandolin. After studying privately in San Francisco and attending college on a music scholarship, he played professionally for over 25 years. Performance credits include the Atlanta Opera Theatre production of Don Giovanni, a concert tour with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and frequent appearances with the Greek Islanders and the DMO. By day Dr. Kellaris teaches at UC, where he researches the influence of music (www.EarwormsResearch.org), and at the ESC in Toulouse, France. By night James is the devoted love slave of Janice, his wife of 30 years. He plays a 1921 Gibson F-2 mandolin.
